As you enter Saddles, you may or may not enjoy the kitsch Western décor that welcomes you as you enter their building, including many a horse painting and saddles as seating in the bar. But you’re sure to love Table V4 in the all-white sunroom in the back, with light streaming through the large shuttered windows, or strung on beams in the high barn-style ceilings, as well as a lush garden view. The services is personable, and the food is classic, with Stuffed Mushrooms and House-made Italian Sausage, Chopped Iceberg Lettuce with kale, bacon, and blue cheese, and Saddles Prime Rib with jumbo baked potato on the menu. Ordering steak is the right idea, because Saddles was named “Best Beef Restaurant in California” by the California Beef Council. Linger in the inviting room, soaking up the old-world charm of how the romantic dining experience was meant to be.
